Cover: The photograph shows a mini-sprinkler in a row of mini-sprinklers that are set-up in a pine (Pinus spp.) forest in the southeastern USA for remediation of trichloroetheylene and tetrachloroethylene from contaminated aquifers. The pines provide a year-round means, via evapotranspiration, to help manage excess water generated by the sprinklers. See Berisford et al., "Use of Mini-Sprinklers to Strip Trichloroethylene and Tetrachloroethylene from Contaminated Ground Water," p. 801-815. Photo by Dr. Dave Coyle, U.S. Forest Service.
