Cover: Reducing odor and gas emissions is a current environmental issue facing swine producers. To better understand the magnitude of air pollution from swine production, releases of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and odor were measured at two anaerobic treatment lagoons using a buoyant convective flux chamber. Charcoal-filtered air was supplied to a floating flux chamber through a flexible stainless steel tube. Air samples were taken from the inlet and outlet of the flux chamber and evaluated in the laboratory using gas analyzers and olfactometry.
