Several dissolved known arsenic (As) species and total dissolved As concentrations (y axis) monitored in poultry litter aqueous suspensions with a 0.1 g mL–1 deionized H2O solid/solution ratio. Dissolved monomethylarsonic acid concentrations were always <7 ppb (not shown). Total dissolved As (triangles) data correspond to the right y axis. Total dissolved As data were obtained with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy, and dissolved As species concentrations were obtained with liquid chromatography–inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Data are the average of two replicates ±1 SD. DMA, dimethylarsinic acid; ROX, roxarsone.
